Our fees are in line with the industry standard, we charge a fee equal to thirty percent (30%) of the selected candidate's total anticipated earnings. This includes base salary, performance bonus (at target), and any sign-on bonus.
We estimate the fee at the beginning of the search and split this estimate in thirds, invoicing the client at the inception of the search, at thirty days, and at sixty days. When an offer is accepted, we calculate the actual fee and if there is a balance due, we then invoice for that balance. These fees are non-contingent, that is, we are being paid for the search, not for the "body"; therefore, if the search is canceled or if the job is not filled, or is filled through other means, the fees are not refundable or transferable.
We use a simple one-page Search Agreement to insure that both parties understand the terms up front.
In addition we also invoice the client monthly for expenses for such items as: travel, long distance telephone expenses meals with candidates, etc.
